Shortly before Christmas, Westfalenliga club TuS Erndtebrück announced the first contract extensions. Several former Siegen players are staying, including the captain. TuS Erndtebrück is having a solid season in Westfalenliga 2. At the winter break, the club is in fifth place after finishing twelfth in the previous two seasons and is still within sight of the top of the table, six points behind. The club has now made its first personnel decisions for the coming season.
The contracts of Justin Huber, captain Tobias Filipzik, Kevin Krumm, Lars Schardt, and Elmin Heric at Pulverwald have all been extended—regardless of the league, as emphasized in a statement from the Westfalenliga club.
Offensive player Huber will thus enter his third year at TuS. The 26-year-old joined the club in 2024 from Sportfreunde Siegen. Huber has since scored six goals and provided eleven assists in 38 games. Lars Schardt followed in Huber’s footsteps a year later and is TuS’s top scorer this season with eleven goals in 15 games. Kevin Krumm also joined Pulverwald last summer after the club’s promotion to the Regionalliga from Sportfreunde Siegen and has played 13 times for Erndtebrück.
Elmin Heric is already in his third season with the Turn- und Sportverein and has a strong record with 34 goals in 67 games for the first team.
This completes the basic framework for the coming season.
We are also in final talks with other players from this season so that we can announce their signings soon. Holger Lerch Captain Filipzik also moved from Siegen to the Westfalenliga club in July – how could it be otherwise – and led the team onto the field with the captain’s armband in 14 appearances.
Between 2016 and 2025, Filipzik played 152 times for Siegen, made his senior soccer debut with the then Regionalliga club, and now wants to set his sights on the Oberliga again with TuS Erndtebrück.
Sports director Holger Lerch is delighted with the commitments: “I am very happy with the early contract extensions of our key players in the team. This gives us the basic framework for the coming season. We are also in final talks with other players from this season, so we will be able to announce the completion of these deals soon.”
