Just before Christmas, Westfalenliga club TuS Erndtebrück announced its first contract extensions. Several former Siegen players are staying, including the captain.
TuS Erndtebrück is having a solid season in the Westfalenliga 2. At the winter break, the club sits in fifth place in the standings after two twelfth-place finishes in previous seasons and still has its sights set on the top of the table, trailing by six points. Now the club has made its first personnel decisions for the upcoming season.
The contracts of Justin Huber, captain Tobias Filipzik, Kevin Krumm, Lars Schardt, and Elmin Heric at Pulverwald have all been extended—regardless of the league, as emphasized in a statement from the Westfalenliga club.
Offensive player Huber will thus enter his third year with TuS; the 26-year-old joined from Sportfreunde Siegen in 2024. Since then, Huber has tallied six goals and eleven assists in 38 games. A year later, Lars Schardt followed in Huber’s footsteps; this season, he is TuS’s top scorer with eleven goals in 15 games.
Kevin Krumm also joined the club last summer from Sportfreunde Siegen following their promotion to the Regionalliga and has made 13 appearances for Erndtebrück. Elmin Heric is already in his third season with the club and boasts an impressive record of 34 goals in 67 games for the first team.
This establishes the core of the squad for the upcoming season. We are also in the final stages of negotiations with other players from this season, so we can announce their signings soon as well.

Captain Filipzik also moved from Siegen to the Westfalenliga club in July—as one might expect—and led the team onto the field 14 times wearing the captain’s armband. Between 2016 and 2025, Filipzik played 152 times for Siegen, made his senior soccer debut with the then-Regionalliga club, and now aims to return to the Oberliga with TuS Erndtebrück.
Sports director Holger Lerch is delighted with the signings: “I’m very happy with the early contract extensions for our key players on the team. This solidifies the foundation for the upcoming season. We’re also in final talks with other players from this season so we can announce their signings soon as well.”
