Five more players presented, four trial players expected

When KFC Uerdingen kicks off on Saturday, the squad will comprise 14 players. A TikTok star is also joining KFC, as well as a player who was able to play in the regional league via the Düren casting.

Nine players have already been presented at KFC Uerdingen for the upcoming squad in the Oberliga Niederrhein. The next four presentations took place before the start of training on Saturday (12:30 p.m.).

This means that Krefeld will start with a squad of 13 players. Four trial players are also expected on the first day, who will be looking to impress coach Julian Stöhr.

The new signings: Goalkeeper Rafael Hester joins from Westfalen-Oberliga club SpVgg Erkenschwick. He played all 19 games in the Oberliga Westfalen for the club until February 2025, but did not play again after that.

Coach Stöhr believes in the 31-year-old: “I know him very well from my time in the Oberliga Westfalen, where he was always one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Rafael brings a wealth of experience that we will certainly benefit from.”

Malcom Scheibner was one of the players who made it into the Regionalliga squad of 1. FC Düren at the end of the season through the April casting and played five Regionalliga matches there. The gap in the association’s statutes has now been closed.

The 20-year-old previously played for Borussia Mönchengladbach. “Malcom is a right-back with incredible attacking drive who knows how to use his pace in this position. He has Regionalliga experience and a lot of potential,” explains Stöhr.

Noah Koch is another goalkeeper joining the club. Stöhr said of the 19-year-old: “Noah is a highly trained player who comes from the youth ranks of 1. FC Köln and most recently RW Essen. He will be taking his first steps in senior football with us and I hope he takes the next step in his sporting career.”

Kingsley Marcinek is moving to the Rhine from Türkspor Dortmund. The 23-year-old has already played almost 80 regional league games and may be familiar to younger fans in particular via the social media platform Tiktok, where he has over 500,000 followers. Stöhr: “Kingsley brings a lot of experience at regional league level, he is very well trained and will greatly strengthen us in the position of outside defender.”

Noah Tomson joins from Siegburger SV. The 20-year-old scored nine goals in 28 games in the Mittelrheinliga last season. “Noah impressed us in training; he has good momentum, excellent first touch, and a drive to score. He will develop further next season because he has great potential,” believes Stöhr.

Cedric Nawrocki is also joining the coaching team as a video analyst. At the start of pre-season, KFC will be testing a number of players who are looking to earn a contract: Seongsun You, Derick Gyamfi, Venhar Ismailji, and Max Dimitrevski.
