The DFB has released the third division fixtures, and MSV Duisburg will play three games outside the main playing time on Saturday (2 p.m.). One game will be on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
The DFB has scheduled match days 17 to 21 in the third division and published them on Wednesday afternoon.
A statement explains the scheduling: As usual, the fixtures were set by the German Football Association (DFB) in close consultation with the security authorities. The requirements set by the authorities have a significant influence on the scheduling and are a mandatory criterion for setting the dates. The fixed match day format with the contractually agreed kick-off times must always be adhered to.
From match days 17 to 21, four out of five fixtures on Friday evenings are based on the authorities’ recommendations, which are binding for the DFB. Of the 15 Sunday games in the fixture period, twelve are affected by corresponding security requirements.
For MSV, the first half of the season will see two matches kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday. On the last match day before the winter break, the team will travel to Viktoria Cologne on Sunday (December 21). Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m., which will be the last whistle for a third division match in 2025.
After a four-week winter break, the season will continue with an away game at VfB Stuttgart II. The second half of the season will kick off for MSV on a Sunday (January 18, 2026). This will be followed by a home game against Regensburg on a Saturday, but not at 2 p.m., but at 4:30 p.m.
