VfB Speldorf is gearing up for the coming season. Ahead of the local clash against Blau-Weiß Mintard, VfB have signed two new players.
VfB Speldorf, fourth in the Landesliga Niederrhein 2 table, has confirmed two more transfers for the coming season ahead of the local derby against Blau-Weiß Mintard (April 20, 6:30 p.m.).
After our editorial team learned that the two VfB players Princely Ngantoh and Noel Devran Andich Abdeslam will be moving within Mülheim from Speldorf to Mintard on July 1, 2024 and will therefore play their last derby in the Speldorf jersey for the time being on Saturday, VfB announced the summer additions four and five:
Gianluca Buhlmann is moving to Saarner Straße from district league club VfB Bottrop. The 22-year-old was trained in the youth teams of MSV Duisburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach and TSV Meerbusch. The “strong midfielder” then played nine times in the Oberliga for TV Jahn Hiesfeld before playing 36 games in the Landesliga for SV Genc Osman. In the current season, he has made 20 appearances in the district league for VfB Bottrop.
“The talks with the sports management and the coach convinced me straight away! They quickly gave me the feeling that Speldorf was the right next step for me and that we would play a successful season together. I’m already looking forward to my new team and the club,” Buhlmann is quoted as saying on VfB’s social media channels.
New defender brings experience from over 100 Oberliga games
Speldorf have also secured the services of Malik-Montell Mourtala. The 26-year-old defender joins from SpVg Schonnebeck from the Oberliga Niederrhein. Born in Essen, he trained at VfL Bochum, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Wuppertaler SV and has already played 103 Oberliga games for Schonnebeck, TuRu Düsseldorf and TSG Sprockhövel.
Mourtala: “It’s great that the transfer went so smoothly. I had a very positive discussion with the sporting management and the coach, so I’m looking forward to playing for this club next season”.
Abdoulaye Sall (Mülheimer SV 07), Baran Özcan (SpVgg Sterkrade-Nord) and Luca Leandro Höffken (VfB Homberg U19) had already been confirmed as new signings for the coming season
