Fortuna Cologne turns a three-goal deficit, SSVg Velbert concedes a victory: the Friday matches of the 15th matchday of the Regionalliga West.
What a game! On Friday evening, Fortuna Cologne turned a 0-3 deficit against Borussia Mönchengladbach II into a 4-3 victory!
It soon became clear that this game would not be a defensive battle. Shio Fukuda took advantage of a moment of carelessness after eight minutes to put the Foals 1-0 in the lead.
In the 31st minute, the Japanese player again emerged in a dangerous position and scored the 2-0 (31′ ‘). Shortly thereafter, striker Mika Schroers even increased the lead to 3-0 (41’), which caused some excitement among the team of coach Markus von Ahlen due to an alleged foul in the build-up.
However, Fortuna did not give up. Leon Demaj scored the first goal of the second half (45th minute) just before the break, laying the foundation for their comeback.

SSVg Velbert suffer a late setback
SSVg Velbert gave away two important points at the last second at home against SC Paderborn II.
Ilyas Ansah scored the 1-0 for the guests after half an hour. But less than five minutes later, Timo Mehlich had turned the game around with a double (32′, 34′).
The hosts were heading for an important three points until Martin Ens scored with the final whistle to make it 2:2. Velbert remain in penultimate place in the Regionalliga West with eleven points.
Fortuna Düsseldorf II and Schalke II share the points.
The second teams of Fortuna Düsseldorf and FC Schalke 04 shared the points – 1:1.
Düsseldorf took the lead after 17 minutes. However, Andreas Ivan was able to equalize from the penalty spot in the first half injury time.
Alemannia Aachen and FC Gütersloh win
Alemannia Aachen returned to winning ways after the 0-3 defeat against 1. FC Bocholt. At home to SC Wiedenbrück, the Kaiserstädtern managed a 1-0 victory. Anton Heinz scored the only goal in the 18th minute.
In the last game of the evening, FC Gütersloh beat SV Rödinghausen 2-1 (2-0). Patrik Twardzik (25th minute) and Jeffrey Obst (35th minute) put their team on the road to victory in the first half. The guests’ subsequent goal was without consequence.
