Second division football club Fortuna Düsseldorf is following the example of numerous other clubs and will have a women’s team in the future.

As the club announced on Wednesday, the female footballers will start in the lowest league in the coming season. The coach will be Anestis Tsentemeidis, who is currently in charge of the club’s U17 juniors. The first training session for the new women’s team is scheduled for May.
