Eight players left Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the summer of 2023. Three of them are now fighting for promotion at the top of the regional league table.
In fifth place, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen is still eyeing the top despite being nine points behind. No fewer than three former players are doing better with their new clubs.
Anton Heinz: The left-back is attracting attention at Alemannia Aachen. He is a set player in the Regionalliga West, has scored nine goals in 19 games and provided five assists. His free-kick hat-trick in the 4-3 win against Wuppertaler SV was particularly spectacular.
Nils Winter: Winter has also found a club in the second-placed team in the Regionalliga West. Just like Heinz, the right-back is also indispensable to the starting eleven of Alemannia. Winter started in all 19 games, almost always playing through. He also set up three goals.
Kelvin Lunga: Lunga joined 1. FC Bocholt in the summer. The swallows are having a successful campaign and are sensationally top of the table in the Regionalliga West. Lunga has mainly appeared as a substitute, providing two assists in 13 games. He has not yet been able to establish himself.
