Eight players have left Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the summer of 2023. Three are now battling it out at the top of the Regionalliga table for promotion.
As fifth in the table, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen can continue to look upwards despite being nine points behind the top of the table. Three former players are looking better with their new clubs.
Anton Heinz: The left winger is attracting attention at Alemannia Aachen. He is a mainstay in the Regionalliga West, scoring nine goals in 19 games and setting up five goals. His free-kick hat-trick in the 4:3 win against Wuppertaler SV was particularly spectacular.
Nils Winter: Winter has also joined the second-placed team in the Regionalliga West. Just like Heinz, the right-back is an integral part of Alemannia’s starting eleven. Winter was in the starting eleven for all 19 games and almost always played through. He also set up three goals.
Kelvin Lunga: Lunga joined 1. FC Bocholt in the summer. The Swallows are enjoying a successful campaign and are sensationally top of the Regionalliga West table. Lunga has mainly appeared as a wild card, providing two assists in 13 games. He has not yet been able to establish himself
