Fortuna Düsseldorf have strengthened their offensive and signed a former Bundesliga player from abroad.
Fortuna Düsseldorf are expanding their options in the offensive even further: Dennis Jastrzembski joins the Red-Whites from Slask Wroclaw.
The 23-year-old offensive player grew up in the youth training centres of Holstein Kiel and Hertha BSC. Jastrzembski matured into a professional with the Berlin club and made his first Bundesliga appearance in 2018/19. After stints at SC Paderborn and Waldhof Mannheim, he briefly returned to Hertha and from there to Slask Wroclaw. He has played for the team from the Polish Ekstraklasa since the 2021/22 season.
In total, the Rendsburg-born Jastrzembski has 19 games in the Bundesliga, three in the 2nd Bundesliga, 15 in the 3rd Liga and 47 in the Ekstraklasa. He is a former U international player for Germany (U16 to U19) and Poland (U15, U16 and U21).
Klaus Allofs, Board Member for Sport & Communications in Düsseldorf, says: “With Dennis, another offensive player joins us who already gained Bundesliga and Second Division experience at a very young age. In Poland he could take the next step in his career. He will increase the competition in our squad once again.”
Christian Weber, Fortuna’s sports director, added: “The signing of Dennis expands our options in the offensive area. He has enormous speed and a good left foot. We are delighted that he will be wearing the Fortuna jersey with immediate effect.”
“I am very happy to have arrived in Düsseldorf and at Fortuna now. I can’t wait to start in the arena. I like the team’s playful approach and I want to help the team as much as possible with my speed and determination,” said Jastrzembski.
Fortuna’s next match is on Saturday (26 August, 1 pm) at league newcomer SV Elverbserg. Then already with Jastrzembski.
