From the 2nd to the 3rd division – Ex-Wuppertal goal scorer comes

Third division club TSV 1860 Munich presented the third new player of the day on Wednesday, January 31.

It was only on Wednesday morning – January 31 – that TSV 1860 Munich presented two new signings: Abdenego Nankishi (on loan from Werder Bremen) and Max Reinthaler (SV Wehen Wiesbaden). Forecasting reported.

But that was not the end of the new signings. A few hours later, the 60ers presented Semih-Serhat Güler, the third new professional of the day.

The striker has made just ten brief appearances for FC Hansa Rostock this season – a total of just 69 minutes of playing time. Güler was no longer happy at the Baltic Sea and was looking for a club that would focus more on him. 1860 will offer him such a stage.

“Due to the injury of Joël Zwarts, whose healing process cannot be predicted exactly, we saw the greatest need for action in the center forward position. We deliberately did not look for a quick solution, but for a good one, and we are convinced that we have found it with Semih. He is a fast, ambidextrous center forward who can play not only in the 9-hole, but also on the wing. He gives us more variability in offense. Many thanks to the people in charge at the Baltic Sea for the professional and appreciative cooperation, which has resulted in a good solution for all parties involved,” says Dr. Christian Werner, Managing Director of Sports at TSV 1860 Munich.

TSV 1860 Munich is one of the most famous names in the 3rd division. I look forward to getting to know my new teammates, the city, the club and the fans. I haven’t had any sporting contact with TSV 1860 Munich so far, but I’ve heard a lot of good things and can’t wait to run out at the sold-out Grünwalder Stadium.

Semih-Serhat Güler

In Munich, too, people are of course aware of the goalscoring qualities of the Cologne-born player. In the 2022/2023 season, Güler scored a whopping 23 goals and provided nine assists in 29 games for Wuppertal.

He was the top scorer in the Regionalliga West and had several offers from the 3rd division and 2nd Bundesliga. He rejected offers from Preußen Münster and SC Verl, ultimately deciding to sign for FC Hansa Rostock. Probably a mistake. Now a fresh start in Munich.

The Lions have 25 points from 22 matches and are just two points above the drop zone. This Saturday (February 3, 2:00 p.m.), TSV will face FC Erzgebirge Aue. Perhaps not only with Abdenego Nankishi and Max Reinthaler but also Semih-Serhat Güler in the starting eleven.

He is definitely fired up – Güler: “TSV 1860 Munich is one of the most famous names in the 3rd division. I’m looking forward to getting to know my new teammates, the city, the club and the fans. I haven’t had any sporting contact with TSV 1860 Munich so far, but I’ve heard a lot of good things and can’t wait to run out at the sold-out Grünwalder Stadium.”
