Third division club TSV 1860 Munich unveiled its third new player of the day on Wednesday, January 31.
Only on Wednesday morning – January 31st – TSV 1860 Munich presented two additions with Abdenego Nankishi (Werder Bremen, on loan) and Max Reinthaler (SV Wehen Wiesbaden). Forecasting reported.
But that wasn’t all in terms of arrivals. A few hours later, the Sechziger presented the third new professional of the day, Semih-Serhat Güler.
The striker has made just ten brief appearances – a total of just 69 minutes – for FC Hansa Rostock this season. Güler was no longer happy at the Baltic Sea club and was looking for a club that would put more emphasis on him again. 1860 will offer him such a stage.
“Due to the injury to Joël Zwarts, whose recovery cannot be precisely predicted, we saw the greatest need for action in the center of the attack. We deliberately looked for a good solution rather than a quick one and are convinced that we have found it in Semih. He is a fast, two-footed center forward who can not only play on the 9, but also on the wings. He therefore gives us further variability in attack. Many thanks to those responsible at the Baltic Sea for the professional and appreciative cooperation, which has resulted in a good solution for everyone involved,” says Dr. Christian Werner, Managing Director of Sport at TSV 1860 Munich.
TSV 1860 Munich is one of the most illustrious names in the 3rd division. I’m looking forward to getting to know my new teammates, the city, the club and the fans. I haven’t had any sporting contact with TSV 1860 Munich so far, but I’ve heard a lot of good things and can’t wait to walk into the sold-out Grünwalder Stadion.
Semih-Serhat Güler
Of course, Munich are also aware of the Cologne-born striker’s goal-scoring qualities. In the 2022/2023 season, Güler scored a whopping 23 goals in 29 games for the Wuppertal club and set up a further nine goals.
He was top scorer in the Regionalliga West and had several offers from the 3rd division and 2nd Bundesliga. He turned down moves to Preußen Münster and SC Verl and ultimately decided to sign for FC Hansa Rostock. Probably a mistake. Now the new start in Munich
The Lions have 25 points after 22 matches and are just two points above the bottom line. TSV travel to FC Erzgebirge Aue this weekend (Saturday, February 3, 2 p.m.). Perhaps not only with Abdenego Nankishi and Max Reinthaler but also Semih-Serhat Güler in the starting eleven.
He is definitely fired up – Güler: “TSV 1860 Munich is one of the most illustrious names in the 3rd division. I’m looking forward to getting to know my new team-mates, the city, the club and the fans. I haven’t had any sporting contact with TSV 1860 Munich yet, but I’ve heard a lot of good things and can’t wait to walk into the sold-out Grünwalder Stadion. “
