From the Bundesliga – SCP is strengthening its office

SC Preußen Münster is expanding after being promoted from the Regionalliga to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Further course setting at SC Preußen Münster: 47-year-old Philipp Deipenbrock is moving from German champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen to Hammer Straße.

The graduate in sports management will remain at the club until mid-February 2025 as head of sales and marketing and will then join the management of SC Preußen.

“We have had intensive discussions with Philipp Deipenbrock and are sure that he will help us with his expertise in the organization, development and advancement of a successful sales and marketing business,” says SCP President and Chairman of the KGaA Advisory Board Dr. Bernward Maasjost. ”In the sporting environment, one would speak of a dream transfer.”

Deipenbrock brings a wealth of experience from various positions in professional soccer to Hammer Straße. Before his time at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, he worked for 1. FC Cologne for seven years as head of service and sales management. He moved to this position after previously spending 11 years at Bayer 04 Leverkusen as head of ticketing, payment and services, among other things.

“Philipp Deipenbrock is an avowed Preußen fan, a long-standing Preußen member and has been a guest at the stadium for years. He is convinced by the Preußen way and wants to help write this success story. To do that, he is even willing to move from the German champions to the second division in order to play a decisive role in the further development of the Preußen structures,” emphasizes Frank Westermann, deputy chairman of the KGaA advisory board and chairman of the supervisory board of SC Preußen Münster. As managing director, Deipenbrock will be responsible for the increased demands in areas such as ticketing and merchandising, as well as partner management (sponsoring), and will continue to drive professionalization forward.

Ole Kittner and Dr. Markus Sass had proposed their new colleague to the advisory board and are looking forward to working with him in the future. By appointing Philipp Deipenbrock, the advisory board is setting another important course for the future.

“I’m really looking forward to this task and the opportunity to get involved here. Preußen Münster has come an amazing way – and I now want to help continue to expand this path. With the stadium renovation, with further professionalization of the environment and with clear structures and processes, this is definitely possible successfully,” says Deipenbrock, who also places a great deal of value on working with members, fans and sponsors, adding: ”None of this can be done overnight – but we can develop step by step on a solid foundation. I am convinced of that.”
