Breathe a sigh of relief for Christian Neidhart, ex-coach of Rot-Weiss Essen. Kickers Offenbach have finally won again. Meanwhile, another ex-Essener has been causing a furore for weeks.
Do you know what it’s like when someone recommends a good investment and you turn it down with thanks? And then this: the deal works out brilliantly.
Rot-Weiss Essen must feel something like that in the case of Noel Futkeu. RWE gratefully declined to sign the former ETB goal scorer. And the 20-year-old moved to the U23 team of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Here the attacker shines and is showered with praise from all sides – Forecasting reported.
And rightly so, because Futkeu scored nine goals in seven games and set up another three. He is in gala form. Just last weekend, Futkeu scored two goals in Eintracht’s 3-1 victory over TSV Steinbach Haiger in the Hesse clash, sending the Frankfurt side to second place in the table. By the way: The Steinbach goal was also scored by a former Essen player: Ayodele Adetula.
Futkeu once collected his first professional minutes at Rot-Weiss Essen – under coach Christian Neidhart. Now both are reunited in at least one league, the Regionalliga Südwest.
OFC back on the winning track
Futkeu plays for Frankfurt II and Neidhart coaches the Kickers from Offenbach. OFC finally wants to return to paid professional football – after ten years. To this end, promotion expert Christian Neidhart, who has already promoted SV Meppen and RWE to the 3rd division, was brought to the Bieberer Berg.
After a bad start, all Kickers fans now hope that their OFC has caught up. Because last weekend, ex-Auer Dimitrij Nazarov and Co. got the frustration off their chest. Bahlinger SC were defeated 5:2 and Offenbach now have at least ten points on their account. The gap to the league leader, VfB Stuttgart II, is currently five points. Stuttgart also lost twice in a row recently. Despite their poor start, OFC are now back in the thick of the fight for first place.
