The next regular general meeting will take place at VfL Bochum on Tuesday. All the information you need about this important event at the second division club.
A good five months after the extraordinary general meeting and the associated election of the new VfL Bochum executive committee, the first regular general meeting is coming up for CEO Andreas Luthe and his team. It will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, starting at 7 p.m. at the RuhrCongress Bochum. We have compiled the most important information for VfL Bochum members. As promised last year, VfL Bochum is once again holding its general meeting earlier in the year. In 2024, the general meeting was held on December 12, and in 2025 it will take place on November 18, 2025. It will start at 7 p.m., and admission to the RuhrCongress Bochum will be possible from 5:30 p.m. The general meeting will begin on November 18 at 7 p.m. with a welcome address by CEO Andreas Luthe. Afterwards, the minutes of last December’s general meeting and the extraordinary general meeting on June 14, 2025, will have to be approved by the members. The third item on the agenda is honors. Long-standing members of VfL Bochum will be congratulated before the Werner Altegoer Medal is awarded. This internal VfL award honors talented individuals within the club. After that, the meeting will move on to the agenda items. First, the executive committee report for the registered association will be presented, followed by the management report from Ilja Kaenzig. There will then be an opportunity for discussion before the executive committee must be discharged for the 2024/2025 financial year. The “old” executive committee, consisting of Uwe Tigges, Martin Volpers, Hans-Peter Villis, Christina Reinhardt, Andreas Eickhoff, Volker Goldmann, and Jupp Tenhagen, was responsible for this financial year.
Since the extraordinary general meeting on June 14, 2025, the executive committee has consisted of Andreas Luthe, Hans-Peter Villis, Till Grönemeyer, Bettina Stratmann, Christian Stenneken, and fan representative Fabian Budde. Jupp Tenhagen also sits on the executive committee. The supervisory board has also been expanded to include Oliver Bartkowski, Lars Lammert, and Benedikt Steffen. Items nine and ten on the agenda are likely to be particularly interesting. These aim to amend the statutes before item eleven, “Miscellaneous,” concludes the meeting.

Miscellaneous
These four motions to amend the Articles of Association have been submitted
Motion by Carina Gödecke and Dr. Andreas Eickhoff: Motion for individual election of members to the Presidium, instead of en bloc as has been the case to date. The motion does not affect the fan representative on the Presidium, who has already been elected individually on the recommendation of the fan representatives’ meeting.
Motion by Carina Gödecke and Dr. Andreas Eickhoff: Motion for an age limit for Presidium members. “Anyone who has reached the age of 75 at the time of the election cannot be elected as a member of the selection committee,” the motion states. Motion by Marc Pattmann: After the Presidium election, the members of the committee may co-opt up to three members (as has been the case to date). “One of the members to be appointed must be a recognized youth welfare specialist in accordance with § 72 SGB VIII and have at least three years of professional experience in the Bochum youth welfare landscape,” Pattmann demands in his motion to amend the statutes.
Motion by Michael Kretschmann: He wants to have it written into the statutes that the fan representative is also automatically a member of the supervisory board of the KGaA. In addition, the chairman of the supervisory board should be a member elected to the executive committee by the general meeting. Both of these practices have been common practice up to now, but are not prescribed by the statutes.
