Goal spectacle with 49 goals – Top 3 march, Rellinghausen stunned

In the Landesliga Niederrhein 2, the strikers had been drinking target water and the defenses were out of sorts. This is how the 49 goals were distributed.

A conference broadcast of the Landesliga Niederrhein 2 would have captivated spectators this weekend. 49 goals were scored in the ten matches.

The top trio in particular did not show any weakness and each celebrated clear victories. Leaders BW Dingden won 4:1 against VfB Frohnhausen from Essen, who were shorthanded. Mohamed Said equalized for VfB shortly after the break. However, the favorites prevailed in the final quarter of an hour.

Second-placed SF Niederwenigen did the same as Dingden. They lost 4-1 in Lowick, where the hosts were also able to equalize shortly after the break. SF Niederwenigen then took command and put the lid on the game a little earlier than Dingden.

Biemenhorst, in third place, won their match against SpVgg Steele 03/09 2:0. The new fourth-placed team is the current series winners ESC Rellinghausen. The clear 4-0 win at DJK Arminia Klosterhardt was their seventh victory from the last seven matches. Nobody would have expected the ESC to be in these regions, having now also overtaken FC Kray, who drew 3-3 with 1. FC Lintfort. After 48 minutes, all six goals had already been scored.

Let’s move on to the basement. Here, Stelle and Frohnhausen have suffered setbacks in the relegation battle following their defeats. Especially as SG Essen-Schönebeck were able to pick up three important points with a 4-0 win against bottom side Hönnepel-Niedermörmter.

FSV Duisburg also surprised at the bottom by winning their home game against SGE Bedburg-Hau 3:2 and can now quietly dream of staying in the relegation zone again, seven points behind the relegation places.

Sterkrade-Nord are finding it increasingly difficult to dream. Especially after the 1:6 defeat at SV Budberg. Curiously, all seven goals were scored after the break, with Moritz Paul alone scoring four times.

In other high-scoring games, VfB Speldorf and SV Scherpenberg drew 3-3, while BW Mintard defeated PSV Wesel-Lackhausen 4-1.
