Great Initiative – This Is How Much Money ETB Raised for “Lichtblicke”

ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen is supporting the “Lichtblicke” initiative at the Rüttenscheid Winter Market – and has raised a four-figure sum.

Anyone who visited the Rüttenscheid Winter Market likely noticed the booth of Niederrhein Oberliga club ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen.

The club was there for four days and raised over 1,000 euros for the “Lichtblicke” campaign through its “Dice Fun for a Good Cause” activity.

“All proceeds from the ETB stand at the 22nd Rüttenscheid Winter Market—in cooperation with Radio Essen—will go to Aktion Lichtblicke e.V.! Aktion Lichtblicke cares for those who have no voice and are always overlooked: children whose families are in need. An official check presentation to Radio Essen/Aktion Lichtblicke will take place in early to mid-January,” according to a statement from the club.

Great! – “Our ETB” raised more than 1,000 euros for Aktion Lichtblicke e.V.

The participation of ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen Abt. Fußball e.V. – with its own booth for four days – at the IGR Winter Market in Rüttenscheid was a complete success. Planned and organized by the ETB Economic Advisory Board (represented by Jürgen Wiese, Axel Lechtken, Rainer Becker, and Reinhard Hochkirchen), over 1,000 euros were raised for Aktion Lichtblicke e.V. The “Dice Fun for a Good Cause” proved to be a great idea and was very well received by visitors to the winter market. This was a wonderful conclusion to the ETB’s anniversary year 2025, in which the Schwarz-Weiß soccer department celebrated its 125th anniversary.

All proceeds from the ETB booth at the 22nd Rüttenscheid Winter Market will go—in cooperation with Radio Essen—to Aktion Lichtblicke e.V.!
