In the Westfalenliga 2, Wacker Obercastrop has got back on track. DSC Wanne-Eickel and Wiemelhausen remain on the heels of the leaders.
SV Wacker Obercastrop has overcome its mini results crisis. On the sixth matchday of the Westfalenliga 2, the team around ex-professional Kevin Großkreutz defeated SC Obersprockhövel 4:0 and showed a reaction after two defeats in a row.
However, it took time before the knot burst for Wacker, from the 50th minute onwards outnumbered. In the 72nd minute Bilal Abdallah scored the lead, then Andreas Ogrzall (75th), Großkreutz (90.+1) and Niklas Malchrowitz (90.+5) added to it.
The team from Obercastrop thus regained contact with the top ranks. FC Iserlohn, who won 3:2 at Westfalia Soest, is still at the top. One point behind them are Concordia Wiemelhausen and DSC Wanne-Eickel – both teams are still unbeaten.
DSC won 2:0 at home against FC Lennestadt on Sunday. The Wiemelhausen team beat SV Sodingen 2-0, which meant that a coaching effect at SVS did not materialise for the time being. The bottom team had hired a new coach, Michael Wurst, during the week. However, he did not succeed in surprising Concordia on his debut.
Second defeat for TuS Erndtebrück
Lüner SV are getting better and better after a mixed start to the season. Last week, LSV defeated Wacker Obercastrop, and now they beat TuS Erndtebrück – a team with a strong line-up and relegation favourites.
An early brace by Sebastian Hahne (15th, 25th) paved the way for victory. Erndtebrück could not do more than tie the game up through Are Wolzenburg (72nd). It was the second defeat in a row for the Wittgensteiner.
