Since four games SC Preußen Münster is unbeaten. Due to absences in the offense, Oberliga top scorer Luca Steinfeldt may prove himself against Halleschen FC.
SC Prussia Münster was able to put a real exclamation mark on its home game against Erzgebirge Aue during the week, celebrating a 4:0 resounding victory. This means that the promoted team has now been unbeaten for four third league games (two wins, two draws).
The English week concludes with an away game at Halleschen FC on Sunday (4:30 p.m.). “We have regenerated a lot, of course,” coach Sascha Hildmann told club-owned media ahead of Matchday 10, giving an insight into the short training week. On Friday, his players got an extra day off. “It’s important for the guys to clear their heads once again and for the body to recover so that we’re in a position to give it our all again in Halle.”
Hildmann calls for “same mentality” as against Aue
With a similar performance, the chances of a win should probably not be bad at the table-17. “We have to show the same mentality as against Aue, this willingness to also go the ways to the back and start at the highest speed. To do that, we have to work very concentrated to close gaps that open up for the opponent again with a united team performance. And that has a lot to do with the head,” said Hildmann.
However, despite the unsuccessful start to the season, the team from Halle should by no means be underestimated, after all they recently caused great difficulties for the leaders (1:2), among others. “Halle leads against Dresden and actually has to add the second goal. Then followed a typical third league game, which Halle lost somewhat unhappily. They certainly want to do better against us, but we will fight back with all our might and are well prepared.”
Bouchama and Wooten missing
The coach will have to do without the stricken Andrew Wooten (muscular problems) as well as Yassine Bouchama, who underwent a scheduled nose operation after breaking his nose bone in the game against VfB Lübeck.
As an additional alternative for the offense, Luca Steinfeldt from the second team will in all likelihood travel with the team to Halle. The 27-year-old striker already secured the title of top scorer last year when he finished runner-up in the Oberliga Westfalen with 27 goals in 32 games. This season, he again leads the scoring charts with eight goals after eight games – and now the reward will probably follow.
