Second division soccer club 1. FC Nürnberg is being asked to pay a considerable fine for the misconduct of its fans.
The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) imposed a fine of €72,400 on the club, whose fans, according to the DFB, set off “at least 90 Bengal fires and 20 fireworks” at the start of the league game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the beginning of September.
During the game, the supporters set off further pyrotechnic devices. The verdict is final after the club agreed to it.
