From the coming season onwards, seven junior and two women’s teams will also compete under the Hertha BSC name.

The Berlin Bundesliga football club confirmed on Thursday that it had founded a girls’ and women’s department, as decided at the capital club’s general meeting.

As part of a cooperation with Hertha 03 Zehlendorf, the latter will hand over its total of nine women’s teams. The Berlin Football Association, the North-East German Football Association and the German Football Association had agreed to the participation in match operations from 1 July 2023, it said.
