Hertha BSC will have to do without winger Chidera Ejuke for their Bundesliga return.

The 25-year-old Nigerian suffered a knee ligament injury in the test match against The Villages SC (7:1), the club announced on Monday evening. Ejuke will leave Hertha’s training camp in the USA on Tuesday and will receive further treatment in Berlin. The capital club had loaned Ejuke from top Russian club ZSKA Moscow in the summer.

The rest of the professionals will return to Germany next Saturday. A week later, the current 15th-placed team in the Bundesliga will play an away match against VfL Bochum.
