Many in France are extremely disappointed

Although France captain Antoine Dupont was back on the pitch for the entire match following his serious head injury, South Africa were able to hold on to their one-point lead until the end.

South Africa play England in the semi-finals
The captain of the South African team was the first to pay tribute to the French team. Siya Kolisi (32) also recalled the rugby fever in his home country, where the players receive support in the form of videos from school classes and many fans who cannot afford to travel to France for the World Cup.
The South Africans will face England in the semi-finals next Saturday at the Stade de France. The All Blacks from New Zealand – after their victory against Ireland – and Argentina have also qualified.
All other matches of the World Cup will take place at the Stade de France in the north of Paris. The final is on October 28, 2023.
