“How stupid are you?!” BVB pro beats Havertz in friends quiz

Julian Brandt senses trouble. ‘This has potential for embarrassment,’ says the Borussia Dortmund pro before the quiz duel with buddy Kai Havertz.

The starting question in the German national football team’s whimsical video is: who knows whom better? And there are indeed a few stumbling blocks lurking.

Brandt takes on the “Best Friends Test” and needs tips on the question of who Havertz scored his first international goal against. “Dude, this can’t fail already,” Havertz says and laughs. But Brandt can solve it: 2019 against Argentina.

He also guesses Havertz’s favorite stadiums (Wembley and Tivoli), but gets the wrong DFB jersey – it’s the pink one. It is immediately clear to him that Havertz considers himself the better Fortnite player, and he also has the names of his buddy’s dogs ready after a little threat (“If you don’t know that, buddy, the friendship is over”): Balou, Summer and Pooch.

Havertz fails when asked about Brandt’s favorite food (spaghetti aglio e olio), his favorite anime character (Law) and the funniest DFB colleague (Pascal Groß). But he does know Brandt’s favorite vacation spot (Ibiza), his former shirt numbers in Leverkusen (10, 19) and the player he considers the best in the world (Vinicius Jr.).

With the score at 4:3, Brandt has match point: does Havertz prefer to score with his head or his foot? When Brandt holds up the tablet with the word “head” written on it, Havertz complains in a mock-angry tone: “Dude, how stupid are you, seriously?!”

So shocked was he that he missed the chance to equalize. Brandt’s youth club? Havertz has it on the tip of his tongue. “Delmenhorst?” Brandt laughs, “that’s insane,” he says. “Borgenfels or something like that?” Wrong again. SC Borgfeld is the correct answer, Brandt wins. “It was a great game,” says Havertz.
