VfL Bochum went down 0:4 at RB Leipzig. Anthony Losilla, captain of VfL, was almost at a loss after the game due to this poor Bochum performance.
So much had been planned and disappointment all along the line: this is how one can sum up VfL Bochum’s performance in the 0:4 in Leipzig.
With a new coach, Thomas Letsch, VfL actually didn’t want to hide after an intense week and show courage at RB. But there was nothing of that to be seen.
We have to work hard to improve. We need to sit down again, talk and move on. It was definitely too little. But we won’t give up either!

RevierSport spoke to VfL captain Anthony Losilla after the game.
Anthony Losilla on…
.. the 0:4 debacle: “It was very disappointing what we showed here. All week we had the aggressiveness in focus. We wanted to get forward, play bravely, try something. The coach kept repeating that to us. But we didn’t put any of that into practice. What we had in mind was hardly visible in Leipzig. I’m really at a loss for words. I have no explanation for it. We didn’t see that we worked on certain things during the week.”
… Zero shots on goal in the first half: “It really looked despondent. Without courage, it’s hard to get points. We didn’t get into the dangerous areas at all. We have to work hard to improve. We have to sit down again, talk and move on. That was definitely too little. But we won’t give up either!”
.. an explanation for the weak performance: “Maybe we wanted to play too well, to act. But then we simply forgot the courage. Without that, you can take on a lot, but then nothing works if you’re despondent. That makes it difficult against any opponent. “
