In Turkey – strong test match half-time for the Regionalliga West runners-up

Alemannia Aachen have been at a training camp in Turkey since last weekend. The first test match was played on Tuesday, January 16.

On Tuesday, January 16, Alemannia Aachen played a test match against north-east regional league side Chemnitzer FC at the training camp in Turkey.

The final result in Belek: a 2:2 draw. Ex-captain – Forecasting reported – Bastian Müller (14th) and winter signing Anas Bakhat (26th) scored the Aachen goals. The CFC goals came in the 55th minute and in the 74th minute from penalties.

Heiner Backhaus, coach of the second-placed team in the Regionalliga West, was very satisfied with the first 45 minutes. Forecasting spoke to the coach after the first training camp test.

Backhaus summed up. “It was definitely an important test. We made one complete substitution and everyone played 45 minutes. In the second half, we played short-handed for a while because Luca Rumpf had muscular problems. We didn’t want to take any risks and took the boy off.”

The 41-year-old A-license holder added: “We played really good soccer in the first half. We should have been leading 3-0 or 4-0. That was strong. It was then more difficult in the second half because the weather changed and it was raining cats and dogs – it was a real doomsday atmosphere and there was already talk of abandoning the game. But the second half was also very valuable. We’re definitely smarter after this test than before and that’s what games like this are all about. We saw in the first 45 minutes that we’re on a really good path.”

Alemannia Aachen will play another test match on Friday, January 19, when they take on Hungarian second division side Vasas Budapest at 6.45 p.m. (local time, German time 8.45 p.m.) at the Papillon Sports Center in Kadriye. On Sunday, January 21, the Alemannia squad will return from Antalya to Düsseldorf and then from the airport to the Tivoli at home.
