The first Champions League matchday kicks off this Tuesday: Paris St. Germain v Borussia Dortmund and Young Boys Bern v Rasenballsport Leipzig.
The most important competition in European club soccer, the Champions League, opens the new season this Tuesday.
French champions Paris St. Germain – now under the management of Spaniard Luis Enrique – will face Borussia Dortmund. Paris have been desperately trying to win the premier class for years – so far in vain. PSG have rarely impressed in the French league since the start of the season and are only fifth in the table after five matchdays. Dortmund currently have two wins and two draws to their name in the Bundesliga
The other pairings this Tuesday:
AC Milan host Newcastle United in the second match in Group F.
The matches in Group E: Feyenoord Rotterdam against Celtic Glasgow and Lazio Roma against Atlético Madrid.
Young Boys Bern welcome Rasenballsport Leipzig in Group G, while Manchester City face Red Star Belgrade.
And finally, Group H: FC Barcelona take on Antwerp, while Shakhtar Donetsk play their home game against FC Porto at Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion.
