Jander transfer official – striker to be presented in training

MSV Duisburg and 1. FC Nürnberg have officially announced the transfer of Caspar Jander as of July 1, 2024. Meanwhile, a striker will be arriving at the Wedau from Wednesday.

It’s now official: in the early afternoon of January 2, 2024, MSV Duisburg and 1. FC Nürnberg announced the transfer of Caspar Jander.

The 20-year-old will sign a four-year contract with the second division club on July 1, 2024, according to forecasting information, until the summer of 2028. The midfielder has played 60 competitive games for MSV to date (two goals, seven assists).

The official announcement from Duisburg did not include a statement from an MSV representative on Jander’s departure. Meanwhile, FCN sporting director Olaf Rebbe said: “We have been following Caspar for quite a while and have made several approaches. Now we are just happy that he has chosen us. We see great potential in him and are convinced that he will continue his positive development with us.”

For MSV, then of course also with Jander, the preparations for the third division’s remaining round will continue on Wednesday (January 3rd) at 3 p.m. Guest player Daniel Ontuzans will also introduce himself at Westender Straße. The 23-year-old striker, who has German and Latvian citizenship, was last under contract with Latvian first division club RFS. The 1.83-meter man was trained in the youth of FC Bayern.

MSV Duisburg: Mönchengladbach test is set, another test game is planned

Boris Schommers and his team will also train twice in Meiderich on Thursday and Saturday after the start of training on Wednesday, followed by a session on Friday and Sunday.

The test against Borussia Mönchengladbach II on Saturday, January 13, 2024 (in Mönchengladbach without fans, editor’s note) is fixed, and another preparation game is planned for the beginning of the second week of January, but has not yet been fixed.
