Tues Bövinghausen are still in the relegation battle two match days before the end of the Oberliga season.
On Sunday, TuS Bövinghausen suffered their 21st defeat of the current Oberliga Westfalen season. However, according to coach Danny Voß, the 7-0 defeat to SF Lotte was also a “bonus game”.
TuS are currently still 16th in the table. The gap to FC Brünninghausen, who are currently relegated, is three points. Bövinghausen are also level on points with Eintracht Rheine and one point behind Victoria Clarholz.
A number of players will return for Monday’s game: Dino Dzaferoski and Rondinely are ready for action again after their suspensions. Yanni Regäsel has also recovered from his injury. The same applies to Cavit Tomczak.
Against SpVgg Vreden, the team will therefore have more personnel flexibility than in the match against Lotte. However, Seong-sun You will be missing due to his red card in the last game. “Of course, you’re now one player down again. You is one of the regulars, so that will have an impact,” fears Voß.
Thursday’s training session will serve as a “crucial stress test” for the game on Monday. The aim is to “check everything again and get the boys ready for the game.”
FC Brünninghausen, the club’s most important rivals, will play on Friday. Brünninghausen will be the guests of 1. FC Gievenbeck. Danny Voß explains that the result could well have an impact on the way TuS play
The game can have an influence on the table, you mustn’t forget that. If Gievenbeck win, we of course know that one point would be enough for us.
Danny Voß
“The game can have an influence on the table, you mustn’t forget that. If Gievenbeck were to win, we know of course that a point would be enough for us. Playing for results is always difficult, but if we’re in the 94th minute and we’re sure of a point, then of course we won’t be throwing everything forward to get a win.”
However, that is “highly speculative” and Voß does not want to focus exclusively on that. Bövinghausen is nevertheless looking at the result: “We will also have to assess the result in terms of the table.”
The match between 1. FC Gievenbeck and FC Brünninghausen kicks off on Friday evening at 7.15 pm. Bövinghausen must then follow suit on Monday at 3 p.m. in Vreden
