One and a half weeks to go until Rot-Weiss Essen kick off their third league campaign at home against Alemannia Aachen. Fans can watch on TV at no extra cost.
The countdown to the start of the 3rd division season has begun. One and a half weeks to go before Rot-Weiss Essen welcome Alemannia Aachen to the Hafenstraße stadium for a traditional clash (August 3, 2 p.m., RS live ticker).
It’s likely to be a full house at the RWE Stadium, but the game is not yet sold out. There is good news for all fans who do not want to watch the game in person: The NRW hit will be shown live on free TV.
WDR will be broadcasting the game, but will not be doing any pre-match coverage. It starts at 2 p.m. sharp, preceded by “Road trip through Spain – Valencia, Alhambra and Andalusia with Sarazar”. Scenes from the Essen stadium will be shown in the third program until 4 pm. The broadcaster has not yet released any further details, such as the presenter.
The match will also be shown on Magenta Sport. However, a paid subscription is required to access the content on Deutsche Telekom’s streaming service. The broadcast starts here at 1.45 pm. Christian Straßburger will commentate, Tobias Wahnschaffe will present – together with expert and Bielefeld legend Fabian Klos.
