FC Kray celebrated a victory against Bezirksligist SV Burgaltendorf to open the second round of the Kreispokal in Essen.
FC Kray has entered the last 16 of the Essen Kreispokal. At the start of the second round, FCK beat defending champions SV Burgaltendorf. The visitors from the Landesliga won 4:1 on Thursday evening at the Bezirksligist, who triumphed in the previous edition.
After a good half hour, Marc Gotzeina put the Krayers in the lead via penalty (31st). Almost with the restart of the second half, Burgaltendorf’s Georgios Ketsatis equalised (47th).
But the equaliser did not last long: Pascal Itter scored to make it 2:1 (61st), only shortly afterwards Gotzeina increased the lead with his second goal (65th). In injury time, Youssef Kamboua scored the final goal. Kray was outnumbered at this point: Ayman Abdelrahman had seen red (79th).
The league continues for Kray on Sunday. SG Schönebeck comes to the Buderusstraße for a city derby in the Landesliga (3 p.m., RS-Liveticker). SV Burgaltendorf plays host to the second team of SC Velbert in the Bezirksliga (Sunday, 1 pm). The remaining second-round matches in the Kreispokal will be played until 4 October,
