FC Kray started the 22/23 season with two points from three games. Now 1. FC Kleve, still without points, comes to Essen’s Buderusstraße.
After two points from three games, FC Kray is still waiting for its first win. After all, the Essen team is still above the line with two points. The first win of the season should come next Sunday at home against 1. FC Kleve.
The Kleve team has yet to collect any points after two defeats. But coach Umut Akpinar’s team is a force to be reckoned with, as their seventh place in the promotion round last season proves. Especially as the games against TuRU Düsseldorf (0:1) and 1. FC Monheim (1:2) were very close. On the second matchday, the club from the Dutch border had a game off.
“Kleve started weak in terms of results in their first games of the season, but were able to keep the games open,” knows Krays coach Fabian Springob. ” But we don’t look at the opponent, we prepared well during the week and will bring everything on the pitch to bring in a success. I am convinced that we will reward ourselves and all FCK supporters on Sunday.”
However, there is still a big question mark behind some personnel. According to the Kray team, “some of the players in the squad” are ill. However, only veteran Ryota Nakaoka, who is struggling with a ligament injury, will definitely be missing. At least coach Springob and his assistant Matthias Walter will be able to call on Romario Guscott again, who has been missing for the last time due to a red card suspension.
