It’s all plain sailing, with no chance of things going any other way. This is an important opportunity and the Polish side Lech Poznan are determined to take it. Pre-sold season tickets: RWE in third place, how MSV are doing
The euphoria among fans of Rot-Weiss Essen and MSV Duisburg is huge. Here’s how both clubs compare in terms of season ticket sales.
One week before the start of the 3rd league season, the mood at the Revier clubs is good. Fans of Rot-Weiss Essen are hoping that their team can build on its strong second half of last season. And MSV Duisburg supporters are delighted that the Zebras are back in the league. The extent of the anticipation can be gauged in part from season ticket sales. Both clubs have already reported good news in this regard.RWE has set an all-time record, selling all 11,907 available tickets. Meanwhile, MSV has sold around 6,000 season tickets, which is a new third division record for the Meiderich club.
But it’s not just in Duisburg and Essen that season ticket sales are booming, as a list on the “diefalsche9” portal shows. Eight clubs, almost half of those in the third division, have sold over 5,000 season tickets.
Hansa Rostock leads the way with 14,000 season tickets sold. That is almost 1,000 more than a year ago. This means that the quota has been exhausted. Alemannia Aachen is in second place with over 13,000 tickets and could still increase this number, as tickets are still available.
RWE follows in third place, with MSV Duisburg in sixth. In between are 1860 Munich, VfL Osnabrück – both clubs have sold their entire allocation of season tickets – and 1. FC Saarbrücken, which also set a club record.
At the other end of the table is SC Verl, which recently broke the 1,000 mark. TSV Havelse and the U23 teams from Hoffenheim and Stuttgart do not offer season tickets.

This is also because the weather could make a difference in those parts. Not everyone is used to playing in certain temperatures, even if we are talking about Poland in this case. Yes, because the hostile climate makes a difference in those parts, and we see this even in countries that are less high up and less “dangerous.”
So this factor, which a professional team has certainly taken into account, forces Lech to win the game, perhaps with a big score. The quality on the field is different, and the home team is eager to put the negative moment behind them: in their last two games, they suffered two heavy defeats, the first in the Super Cup final and the second in their league debut.
The feeling, therefore, at least as far as the first match of the new season is concerned, is that Lech has been thinking about this important fixture, which, like it or not, could determine the entire season. They may not go all the way, but getting through this round would also give the team confidence.
