Public disputes continue to damage VfL Bochum. In a new episode of our talk show, we discuss the many issues surrounding the club.
There is no peace at VfL Bochum these days. On the pitch, the team remains in crisis after a 0-5 defeat to FC Bayern, although some of the approaches taken by new coaching duo Markus Feldhoff and Murat Ural can at least be seen as steps in the right direction. Off the pitch, however, the club is presenting a poor image and is now even airing its disagreements in public.
VfL managing director Ilja Kaenzig had already called the team to account at the end of last week, but also criticized them sharply. He spoke of a “difficult team.”
The three also talk about the defeat against FC Bayern, the disagreements within the club’s supervisory board and executive committee, which culminated in Hans-Peter Villis stepping down from his positions, and the many other issues that currently need to be resolved at VfL Bochum – from the coaching question to the search for a sporting director.
