Marcus Steegmann could use his good contacts in Cologne

What did the RWE game against Sandhausen show? The morale is good, the team and the coach are united, but there is a lack of quality here and there. We discuss this in our RWE Talk.

Rot-Weiss Essen has won only one of its last six games in the 3rd division, against SV Sandhausen, who were top of the table before the matchday but showed a good reaction after an early shock.

So the question is: Is the glass half full or half empty? The coming weeks will tell. Because now the weeks of truth are coming up until the winter break.

Four games, three of them against teams from the lower half of the table (1860 Munich, VfL Osnabrück, VfB Stuttgart II). The pressure is mounting, and coach Christoph Dabrowski’s team will have to deliver if they want to avoid an uncomfortable turn of the year.

One thing is clear: the way RWE has performed, this is not a team that is against its coach. There was a reaction to the early 0-1 deficit, heads stayed up, and morale was good. That’s why we’re sticking to our guns: Christoph Dabrowski is the right man in the right place – there’s no point in discussing the coach at this stage.

We’ll be talking about this in the latest episode of our talk show “vonne Hafenstraße” – Inside RWE. Host Kira Alex will be joined by RWE reporter Ralf Wilhelm and forecasting editor Christian Brausch.

Another topic: new signings in the winter transfer window. Where should changes be made, which candidates would be suitable if the club has the budget to make adjustments to the squad? Should the focus be on a striker? Or perhaps a defensive midfielder? Maybe Marcus Steegman will once again make use of his good contacts in Cologne. We’ll be discussing all this and more. Enjoy the show.
