Market Values – 14 Players See Their Value Rise, but the Most Valuable Players Are Devalued

MSV Duisburg finished the first half of the third-division season in second place after an unexpectedly strong run. The Zebras also have many winners in the market value updates from “transfermarkt.de”.

MSV Duisburg is right in the thick of the Third Division promotion race. The Zebras only recovered from their Regionalliga relegation in May and have returned to Germany’s third-highest division.

And even though the Zebras haven’t necessarily been able to maintain the level of their spectacular start in terms of results, third place at the winter break is an outstanding achievement. “transfermarkt.de” also recognizes this with its latest market value updates.

The list of winners is long. A whopping 14 players now have higher market values. Rasim Bulic, for example, is now worth 450,000 euros instead of 400,000 euros.

Conor Noß, who earned the top grade of A in the major mid-season forecasting report, has also seen his value rise—from 350,000 euros to 400,000 euros.

MSV Duisburg: Christian Viet loses value

However, there are also players in the MSV squad whose market value has dropped. First and foremost, Christian Viet. The attacking midfielder is indispensable to the Zebras, having scored one goal and provided three assists in 19 third-division matches. However, “Transfermarkt.de” has downgraded his value from 600,000 euros to 500,000 euros.

Striker Florian Krüger has also seen his market value drop. Instead of 500,000 euros, he is now worth 450,000 euros. Additionally, Dennis Borkowski (from 300,000 euros to 250,000 euros), Niklas Jessen (from 225,000 euros to 200,000 euros), Florian Egerer (from 200,000 euros to 175,000 euros), and Omer Hanin (from 100,000 euros to 75,000 euros) have also seen their market values drop.
