FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt introduced a player from the Oberliga Niederrhein at the weekend. The defensive man comes to Thuringia from Mülheim an der Ruhr.
Following the transfer of central defender Dominic Duncan from BFC Dynamo to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, the next central defender has now been signed: 19-year-old Jeremiaha Maluze from Mülheimer FC in the Oberliga Niederrhein will line up for the Red & Whites in the new 2024/25 season.
The central defender, who also has Nigerian citizenship, played 27 games in the Oberliga Niederrhein last season. Maluze played 13 of these 27 games in the first half of the season for SV Straelen before moving to league rivals Mülheimer FC in the winter, where the central defender played a further 14 games in the second half of the season.
For Mülheimer FC 97, the Duisburg native proved his scoring prowess with four goals in the Oberliga Niederrhein. The 1.93 meter tall defensive talent also scored once in three games in the Lower Rhine Cup.

Here’s to a successful time,” said the new signing from Mülheim an der Ruhr.
The 19-year-old has signed a two-year contract in Erfurt until June 2026. “Jeremiaha has made a name for himself both at SV Straelen and at Mülheimer FC in the Oberliga with very good performances and convinced us of his qualities. A young defender who, like others before him, will certainly be trained very well by our coaching team so that he can then take the next step in his career,” said sporting director Franz Gerber about Maluze.
