Alemannia Aachen has two new fixtures added to its schedule this Tuesday. A friendly and the first round of the Middle Rhine Cup.
Alemannia Aachen will play a friendly against Dutch first division side NEC Nijmegen during the international break.
The match will take place on Thursday (October 10) at the Eredivisie’s 16th-placed team behind closed doors.
And there’s another date for Alemannia: On Tuesday evening (October 8), the draw for the first round of the 2024/25 Mittelrhein Cup took place. Defending champions Alemannia Aachen were drawn against Horremer SV, who play in the Bezirksliga.
The date for the first round of the cup is Wednesday, October 30, 2024. As the lower-ranked team, Alemannia’s opponent automatically has home advantage.
The Mittelrhein Cup will feature 32 teams for the last time in the 2024/25 season before being expanded to 64 teams next season. In addition to Alemannia, Viktoria Cologne will also participate from the 3rd division, while SC Fortuna Cologne, 1. FC Düren, and Eintracht Hohkeppel will participate from the Regionalliga West. The cup will be played in five rounds, including the final. The final will take place on Amateur Final Day on May 24, 2025, at Sportpark Höhenberg in Cologne.
