After the fourth match day in the Landesliga Niederrhein 1, the first tendencies are becoming apparent. The teams relegated from the Oberliga are not playing at the top.
After four match days in the Landesliga Niederrhein 1, a first picture is emerging. While top favourite 1. FC Monheim continues to pull ahead and now has the maximum yield of twelve points on its account, fellow relegated TuRU Düsseldorf is still deep in the bottom of the table.
Monheim were able to put one of the favourites in their place for the first time on Matchday 4. The highly rated team from Jüchen-Garzweiler lost 0:2 (0:0) at home to the relegated team in front of 450 spectators at the Jüchen district sports ground. Dennis Ruess’ team is now ahead of Holzheimer SG, who also won 3-0 in Mennrath without dropping a point.
The situation is completely different for TuRU Düsseldorf. Francisco Carrasco’s team lost its fourth match in a row. After the 1:2 (1:1) defeat at ASV Mettmann, the team relegated from the Oberliga Niederrhein remains without a point in the bottom of the table. What happens now at the Feuerbachstraße?
Two big wins at the weekend
Only SV Wermelskirchen is worse off and occupies the last place in the table. Even the change of coach could not bring about a turnaround. In the Dönges-Eifgen-Stadion, the Bergisch team lost 1:4 (1:4) against the “Zwote” of VfB Hilden.
Only DV Solingen lost even more – 1:5 (0:1) at SG Unterrath, who are becoming a real home power at the anextour park.
SC Düsseldorf-West is not really getting off the ground. After two defeats in a row, the team around Emsland Messi Martin Wagner only managed a 2:2 (0:0) against 1. FC Viersen. In front of only 70 spectators at the Schorlemerstraße sports ground, the Oberkassel team was already 2-0 down before Marco Lüttgen (65th) and Diyar Turan at least managed to secure a point at the final whistle.
