Another new signing for KFC Uerdingen. A “technically strong and goal-scoring player” joins the Regionalliga promoted team at the Grotenburg.
KFC Uerdingen have announced several new signings in recent days, two of them on Monday at the start of July. After left-back Max Klump, the Krefeld attacking player presented Nazzareno Ciccarelli.
The 27-year-old is moving from Regionalliga relegated Rot Weiss Ahlen to Regionalliga promoted KFC. He spent the second half of last season in Ahlen. In the first half of the season, Nazzareno Ciccarelli played for Türkspor Dortmund in the Oberliga Westfalen.
“Reno can be deployed in all three positions behind the front line and could become an important factor in our attacking play,” emphasized Uerdingen sporting director Adalet Güner. “He is a technically strong player who is dangerous in front of goal.”
The German-Italian comes from Herne and played an outstanding Oberliga season in a TSG Sprockhövel shirt three years ago – scoring 21 goals and making 25 assists in 28 games. He attracted the attention of Rot-Weiß Erfurt and at times played with the traditional club from the north-east section of the Regionalliga for promotion to the third division. After a year in Erfurt, he returned to NRW.
KFC Uerdingen: Five new signings are confirmed
“He has a great hunger to make his mark on the game. The boy is capable of scoring at least ten goals every season at this level. You have that guarantee if you give him the freedom in the final third,” Ciccarelli advisor Roland Kapinga told RS after Ahlen’s relegation.
Now Ciccarelli can put these words into action on the pitch in a KFC shirt. After Max Klump (FC Wiltz), Ben Klefisch (SC Paderborn II), Ufumwen Osawe (Berliner AK) and Enes Yilmaz (Fortuna Düsseldorf II), he is the fifth new signing for new coach Michel Dinzey’s team, which will play its first pre-season friendly on Wednesday. At 7.30 p.m., KFC will host VfL Tönisberg
