FC Viktoria Köln had already announced it before the winter break: Some talents are to be loaned out to get playing practice. No sooner said than done.
After Benjamin Hemcke, who was loaned to West-Regionalligist Alemannia Aachen and Florian Engelhardt, who will play for Southwest-Regionalligist FC Rot-Weiss Koblenz until the end of the season, Viktoria Köln has loaned out the next talent.
As for Engelhardt, Ilhan Altuntas (20) will also go to Rot-Weiss Koblenz, the bottom team in the Regionalliga Südwest, until 30 June 2023.
“Like Florian Engelhardt, Ilhan Altuntas also needs match practice now to continue his really good development. The return of Michael Schultz has of course not made things any easier for him at first, so we are pleased that we have also found a top solution for Ilhan in Rot-Weiss Koblenz, where he can get his minutes at Regionalliga level and continue to develop,” explained Viktoria head coach Olaf Janßen.
Altuntas, a former Viktoria U19 captain, signed his first professional contract at the “Schäl Sick” in June 2022, having already made 13 appearances in Olaf Janßen’s squad in the 2021/22 third division season and two short appearances. In the current season, the 1.87 metre tall defender has been in the squad twice.
“Ilhan has the opportunity to gain valuable experience with us. I think we’ve often had a good hand with our loans so far, as the example of Jakob Lemmer, who has now moved from Offenbach to Dynamo Dresden, shows. We would like to thank Viktoria Köln for the cooperative collaboration,” says Christian Noll, the sporting director of Rot-Weiss Koblenz.
