If Alemannia Aachen continues like this, the new squad will be ready in April. Now a top performer from Rot-Weiß Oberhausen has been signed.
Provided Rot-Weiss Essen and Borussia Dortmund’s U23 are not relegated to the Regionalliga West, it will be very exciting to see who will be promoted next year.
It will be a battle of equals in which Alemannia Aachen will also want to be involved. And Aachen are really stepping on the gas in the transfer market.
RS has already reported that they have signed Nils Winter, a right-back from league rivals Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. The Kleeblätter also want to attack in the coming season, and they have lost the race for Winter.
The 29-year-old Winter already played for Alemannia Aachen from 2015 to 2018 and was also team captain in the 2017/18 season.
“Nils has consistently shown a top level in the Regionalliga West over the last few years. He is a dynamic player with a lot of drive forward and has shown leadership qualities with us in the past, even at a young age. We have always been in contact, so I am all the happier that we will be seeing Nils play for Alemannia again in the summer,” said Alemannia managing director Sascha Eller.
The player himself is delighted to be returning to his old home: “I have already been warmly welcomed to Alemannia Aachen by the people around the club in the past, and I also feel very much at home thanks to my godchildren who live here in the region. Over the years, I’ve always been in contact with Alemannia and, after a very nice time at RWO, I’m really looking forward to my new job. I can see that something is happening in Aachen and I’m full of drive to go into next season with a great squad and full of focus. “
