Next separation at WSV: Board member Peter Neururer resigns

Peter Neururer is no longer on the board of Wuppertaler SV. The 67-year-old is leaving the club at his own request.

After just under one and a half years on the board of Wuppertaler SV, Peter Neururer is leaving the club again. The 67-year-old is leaving at his own request and has been relieved of his duties by the board of directors with immediate effect. The WSV made the announcement on Sunday afternoon. Neururer had joined the board in May 2021 and had been in charge of sports and marketing.

“We deeply regret Peter Neururer’s resignation and would like to thank him, also on behalf of the rest of the board, for one and a half years of good, successful and trusting work for our WSV,” administrative board chairman Ralf Dasberg was quoted as saying in a club statement. “We wish Peter continued success and all the best for the future. “

The departure of the cult coach (formerly of VfL Bochum, MSV Duisburg, Schalke 04, among others) is not the first these days. Before the weekend, it was announced that coach Björn Mehnert had left the club. There is no successor yet. Under interim coach Andy Steinmann, the recently struggling Bergische celebrated a 5:1 victory against SV Lippstadt.
