Wuppertaler SV will start its winter preparations on January 3, 2024. It is quite possible that a new player will join in the next few days.
With Ersan Parlatan, a new coach has taken over the helm at Wuppertaler SV. On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, the 46-year-old soccer coach will invite his new team to their first training session.
Durim Berisha, a previous member of the squad, will no longer be part of the team. The central defender has terminated his contract and, according to forecasting information, is about to sign with Regionalliga West bottom club Sport- und Spielvereinigung Velbert.
It is quite possible that two further contract terminations will follow in the next few days. Sebastian Patzler and Kevin Pires Rodrigues, who like Berisha were suspended before the last game of the year at Borussia Mönchengladbach II (4:0), will also have a difficult time under the new coach. “We will address this issue on Tuesday and make a decision,” Gaetano Manno told our editorial team on Tuesday morning (January 2).
The manager of Wuppertaler SV also intends to pursue another personnel issue over the next few days. Namely: Migel-Max Schmeling, left-back and captain of TuS Bövinghausen. “We’ll meet for a coffee sometime. He’s an interesting player. But I can’t say any more at this stage,” Manno reveals.
The 23-year-old Schmeling is one of 17 players at the struggling Dortmund Oberliga club TuS Bövinghausen who can leave the club on a free transfer this winter. According to RS information, other regional league clubs, such as Rot Weiss Ahlen, are also interested in Schmeling.
Migel-Max Schmeling was trained at Schalke, MSV and BVB
Born in Gelsenkirchen, he has an interesting CV. He learned to play soccer at DJK Eintracht Erle 1928 (2004 to 2008) and later – from 2008 to 2014 – also played for FC Schalke 04.
This was followed by spells at MSV Duisburg’s youth academy (2014 to 2020) and one season – 2020/2021 – with Borussia Dortmund’s U23 team. Via BVB II and SC Verl, Schmeling, who played eight third division matches, five matches in the regional league and 48 matches in the Oberliga, finally ended up at TuS Bövinghausen in the summer of 2021
