TuS Bövinghausen has once again announced the signing of a player who has already played professional football.
The highly ambitious Dortmund Oberliga club TuS Bövinghausen has found a striker in Belgium.
Ben Kifoumbi was able to convince those responsible in trial training. The 24-year-old, who stayed in his home country Belgium until last, played for Dolny Kubin in the 2nd Slovakian league until September 2022. The centre-forward scored one goal in eight appearances.
Prior to that, Kifoumbi played in Cyprus for THOI Lakatamias, a third-division club, and in his native Belgium for RSD Jette (4th division) and KSC Lokeren II. The attacker trained with the clubs FC Black Star, FC Brussels, Lierse SK and KSC Lokeren.
“We are very happy that Ben has chosen us. He is a very fast, dynamic striker. That’s the kind of guy we were looking for. I am firmly convinced that the boy will help us quickly,” Ajan Dzaferoski, TuS boss, told RevierSport.
Bövinghausen recently signed Niko Bosnjak, who last played for SG Wattenscheid 09. Dzaferoski is enthusiastic about him in the first few days and says: “I think we made a really good catch there. Niko is really fun. The boy is only 20 years old and has a lot of potential. I see it similarly with Ben Kifoumbi. We are definitely in a good position for the rest of the season.”
TuS Bövinghausen are in second place in the Oberliga Westfalen at the winter break, with a make-up game at Sportfreunde Siegen up their sleeve. This position would mean promotion to the Regionalliga West at the end of the season. “I like to repeat myself: we don’t have to, but we can and we want to be promoted,” emphasises Dzaferoski.
