Oberliga dream start results from “extremely hard work”.

TuS Bövinghausen have made a perfect start to the new Oberliga Westfalen season and now have nine points to their name after three wins in a row.

TuS Bövinghausen has yet to drop a point in the current season of the Oberliga Westfalen and has always been the winner in the last three games. One of the guarantors of the Dortmund team’s success in recent weeks has been TuS player Philipp Rößler.

After Rößler was still injured at the beginning of the season and came off the bench in the second half of the 2-1 opening win against Sportfreunde Lotte, the Bochum-born player has really come on in the last two games. In the city derby on the second matchday against ASC 09 Dortmund, Rößler came on in the 36th minute for the now departed Denis Ramadan and set up two goals in his team’s 3:1 victory. In the most recent 3-1 win on matchday three against TuS Ennepetal, Rößler played the entire 90 minutes and again contributed an assist.

Commenting on his team’s perfect start to the season, Rößler said: “I think our success is the result of extremely hard work. The preparation has welded us all together and everyone has worked hard in training. We have been rewarded for that so far. The team has played outstandingly in all three games and you can see that we are continuing to develop as a team.

Silaj scores his first goal of the season – New striker on the way?

At the beginning of the season, midfielder Christian Silaj transferred from Union Titus Petingen in the Luxembourg first division to TuS Bövinghausen and promptly became a key player. Silaj was trained in his youth – like many other players at Bövinghausen – at Borussia Dortmund. The newcomer scored the important 2:1 goal in the 3:1 against TuS Ennepetal on the third matchday.

“It’s always a nice feeling to score. The 2:1 was important, of course, because at that point we were pushed back a bit by the long balls. Of course it makes me happy to score, but that’s not so important to me personally. The main thing is that we got the three points as a team,” said Silaj, referring to his first goal of the season.

After the departure of Denis Ramadan and the recent injury of Jonas Telschow, a position in attack has become free at TuS Bövinghausen. The transfer window in Germany closes on 01 September. This means that the Bövinghausen management still has time to become active on the transfer market once again.

At the press conference after the match against Ennepetal, the Bövinghausen management let slip that a transfer could be in the offing in the near future, but there was no crystal-clear answer yet. “We’ll wait and see,” said Bövinghausen coach Sebastian Tyrala with a twinkle in his eye.
