Regionalliga West club Wuppertaler SV has officially unveiled its new head coach. This is what the protagonists say.
Just a few moments after the exclusive forecast announcement, Wuppertaler SV officially unveiled Ersan Parlatan as the new head coach at Hubertusallee.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge as head coach at Wuppertaler SV. The club has an impressive tradition and clear ambitions to make it into professional soccer. That fits in perfectly with my own goals. Many thanks to everyone involved for the trust they have placed in me,” said the soccer coach.
The 46-year-old native of Berlin with Turkish roots added with regard to the rest of the season: “I’m already looking forward to the start of training so that I can get to know the players personally. Over the last few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time with the team, watched a lot of games and I’m really looking forward to working with the players and management to take this ambitious club with its rich tradition forward. Thank you once again for your trust – I can hardly wait to tackle the task at Wuppertaler SV!”
WSV say that Parlatan was the preferred candidate from the outset. However, according to forecasting information, the club also negotiated with David Bergner (most recently Teutonia Ottensen) until the end
