TSV Meerbusch and Mülheimer FC faced each other in a direct basement duel. The hosts showed too many gaps defensively, especially in the first half, which Serhat Sat exploited twice for Mülheim (33rd, 40th). After the break, Aram Abdelkarim scored a penalty (58).
Nurretin Kayaoğlus 3:1 (77.) looked like the decision for MFC, but Mohamed Benktib (86.) made it exciting again. In the end, however, TSV could do no better and Meerbusch remained in the relegation zone.
In the match between TVD Velbert and Sportfreunde Hamborn, the decisive scene occurred in the 59th minute. Hamborn’s Nick Bennmann caused a penalty kick and was also shown the red card. At the end of the 6th matchday, top of the league Sportfreunde Baumberg were guests of the bottom team SC St. Tönis. And the home team did not make it easy for the league leaders, even taking the lead through Marc Knops (11th). But Baumberg always seems to have an answer this season.
In this game, as so often, it came through Robert Hömig. The league’s top scorer turned the game around (17th, 32nd) before the break. Maximilian Pohlig (57th) made it 3:1 in the second half, but SC did not let themselves be shaken off so easily and came back (84th).
The hosts threw everything forward again and opened up the back. Tim Knetsch (84th) and again Hömig (88th) with his eighth goal of the season made it 5:2 – a result that is a bit too high. The Baumbergers don’t care, they still lead the table with six points.
