Only three Oberliga games – striker loaned out within the city

In the summer, ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen once again gave A-youth players the chance to join the Oberliga squad. Now, however, one of them is set to gain playing experience elsewhere. ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen is loaning out Justus Becker. After three appearances in the Oberliga Niederrhein and one Niederrhein Cup game, the 19-year-old striker talent from their own ranks is set to play more regularly. To this end, he is moving to SC Werden-Heidhausen in the Landesliga.

“I want to help SC Werden-Heidhausen stay in the league in the second half of the season. I want to gain important playing experience and continue to learn so that I can return to ETB Schwarz-Weiß at the end of the season. I already played for SC Werden-Heidhausen up to the C-Jugend (under-15s). Since ETB is planning to have me for next season, I hope for a good second half of the season, both for SCWH and for me personally. I would like to thank ETB and SCWH for giving me the opportunity to gain more playing experience and develop further,” Becker commented on his transfer.

The home-grown player spent many years in the Schwarz-Weiß youth academy before moving up to the Oberliga squad last summer. He also played for SC Werden-Heidhausen in his youth and will now gain playing experience in the Landesliga in the second half of the season. Justus Becker will then return to the ETB squad for the 2026/27 season. But ETB has also been active on the transfer market. In the past few days, two players from city and league rivals SpVg Schonnebeck have found their way to the Stadtwald.

Points Table

Firstly, Luca Pinke is transferring within Essen. As Forecasting had already announced, the 21-year-old player, who can be used flexibly on the left side, is moving from SpVg Schonnebeck to ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen.

Center back Thorben Kern is also now playing at Uhlenkrug. In recent years, the 25-year-old was a regular player in Schonnebeck, but only made seven appearances there in the first half of the season. Kern played a total of 132 championship games for the Schwalben and FC Kray in the Oberliga Niederrhein. His contract with the Schwarz-Weißen runs until summer 2027.
