The players of MSV Duisburg will also receive their grades in the big forecasting report during the winter break of the 3rd division.
MSV Duisburg is spending the winter in second-to-last place in the 3rd division. Despite being four points behind the safety line, hope is back at the Wedau after the latest performances and the 4-2 home win at the end of the year against SC Freiburg II.
In the middle of the winter break, the MSV players are still receiving a forecasting report. Only the 25 players who have played at least five times in the 3rd division are considered for their evaluation.
Vincent Müller
Despite fitness deficits in the summer and competition from Dennis Smarsch (long-term injury), the clear number one and, with a few exceptions (blunder against Dresden), a safe pair of hands. The 23-year-old did not miss a game and kept his goal clean four times.
Sebastian Mai
The captain was already tested out as a striker under Torsten Ziegner. Under Boris Schommers, the 30-year-old is the only striker and has scored five times in a row. Due to his robust style of play, Mai is always good for a suspension, but with four goals, he is also the top scorer for the Zebras.
Forecasting grade: satisfactory plus (3+)
Marvin Senger
The error-prone 23-year-old lost his place in the center defense to Marvin Knoll in late September, despite his goal on the first matchday in Freiburg at the end of September. Since then, he has only played ten minutes.
Forecasting grade: adequate minus (4-).
Tobias Fleckstein
Fleckstein has not been able to break out of the substitute role at MSV. The former Schalke youth player was only allowed to play the full 90 minutes in the final game against Freiburg.
